In the blind drum centrifuges with filtration used up to now, the filtration section is connected to the small diameter of the blind drum cone and has identical dimensions. This design has the disadvantage of offering a small volume in the filtration section, which leads to a high solids capacity with a reduced centrifugal force, precisely in the dewatering section of the centrifuge.
The SIEBTECHNIK TURBOSCREEN filter decanter is a combined machine consisting of a blind drum in the product feed zone and a filter drum installed downstream.
The solid materials are separated by sedimentation in the blind drum and thickened. As a result, the product can be washed and dehydrated up to the dehydration limit by mechanical separation.
