Designed for sand separation and cleaning. A sand classifier is commonly used to separate sand and solid waste, which is removed from the liquid by the screw conveyor.
During the extraction process, sand and dirt can be washed from organic waste by spraying water during transport (which has the effect of returning organic matter to the liquid deposits). Separation is achieved by the effect of gravity as the sand passes over the water level. To maximise dewatering, the combination of the speed of the spiral and the length of the conveyor screw above the water level play a key role.
