The NOVEx explosion isolation valve stops the spread of an explosion in ducts, protecting the rest of the equipment in the installation.
The position of the damper in normal operation is open, reducing to a minimum the pressure loss introduced into the system. In the event of an explosion downstream (e.g. in a filter) an expansion of the combustion gases and an overpressure occur which will push the damper closed and create a barrier that isolates and protects the rest of the equipment in the upstream installation.
The flap is in the open position during normal operation. Reduces pressure by up to 80% compared to normally closed valves.
