SAND CYCLONES

The cyclone separator manufactured by TamaAernova Iberica is used as a preventive treatment for the partial reduction of polluting elements present in the air, when it is desired to limit the dust load reaching the filter. The AREN cyclone separator represents the appropriate solution for the separation of dust generated by machining in the metallurgy, wood, recycling and waste treatment sectors in general.

Strengths

The cyclone separator can recover most of the incoming dust by taking advantage of the centrifugal force to which the particles dispersed in the air are subjected. A special, easy-to-move container allows the accumulation and, when necessary, the recovery and reuse of the separated material. Our cyclone separator is robust, economical, easy to transport and install and requires very little maintenance.

Operating principle 

The air flow to be treated enters the cyclone separator tangentially, accelerates and is propelled to describe a circular trajectory. The particles, due to centrifugal force, are separated from the gaseous flow containing them and are distributed against the wall of the cyclone, then dragged by the force of gravity to the lower part of the filter, where they are collected. 

The separation efficiency depends on:

average particle size
average specific weight of particles
gas flow velocity
cyclone structure
Since the operation is specific, it is very important to establish the air flow rate and the operating temperature during the design phase. As mentioned above, the particle size is one of the variables that influences the performance of the cyclone, which is more suitable for treating large particles.
