CYCLONE

When it is necessary to separate and settle particles with a diameter greater than 1 mm, the cyclone is often used. It is very simple, easy to maintain and highly effective. The dust-laden air enters tangentially through the cylindrical upper part. The air flow follows a spiral path that first goes towards the bottom of the truncated cone, then ascends through the centre of the same, using centrifugal force to separate chips or dust from the flow. The air, once purified, leaves the cyclone through the upper part. The separated particles are discharged through the bottom of the cyclone. Its performance depends on the speed of entry of the particles, their density and their particle size, together with the geometry of the cyclone. Manufactured in carbon, galvanised and stainless steel sheet, 2 or 3 mm thick, various models for different flow rates and/or materials. Pre-painted in a colour to be determined by the client. The structure/legs are available as an optional extra. The cleaning door in the cone is an optional extra.
