Forget about wet strands for good. Bay Plastics Machinery's vacuum air knife solves this problem through a dual-action strategy: while a blower forces compressed air onto the strands, a vacuum system simultaneously draws in air and water. Our tests have shown that this combination of positive and negative pressure is the most effective method for drying strands before pelletizing.
Air for both the blower and the vacuum comes from a single intake system. The suction air passes through a filter chamber called a demister, which separates the air from the water. The water collects at the bottom of the suction module and is evacuated through a self-regulating valve, while the air is redirected back to the blower and passes through a silencer.
The distance between the positive pressure nozzles and the strands is approximately 1 to 1,5 inches. For ease of starting, the VAK (Vacuum Air Knife) nozzles can be raised, allowing for convenient positioning and alignment of the strands.
To maximize contact with the strands, the vacuum table has a slight curve, and grooved rollers correctly position the strands on the surface, ensuring uniform and complete drying.
Leave wet strand problems behind. Switch to the VAK Series Vacuum Air Knife from Bay Plastics Machinery.
