High-performance traction for long fibers

El P Series tow truck It has been designed to firmly grip and transport multiple strands of material with high tensile demands to a pelletizer. This equipment has been developed for continuous use in high-production environments.

Bay Plastics Machinery has designed this conveyor to efficiently handle a wide range of fiber-reinforced polymers. The P Series complements Bay Plastics Machinery's range of pultrusion pelletizers. The largest model in this series accepts up to 40 ″ (1016 mm) of total width of aligned strands without overlap. The maximum number of strands depends on the total tension requirement or the physical lateral stacking of the strands.

Thanks to its traction surfaceEach puller provides maximum pulling force with minimal impact on the pultruded material. The strands are held straight within the puller, without flexing or bending, preventing internal fiber separation. Furthermore, the contact area where the clamping force is applied is evenly distributed, minimizing the occurrence of stress cracks and increasing the lifespan of the pulling surface.

During the start-up, the strands are introduced manually and are held between the opposing traction assembliesThe upper assembly is pneumatically actuated and applies a downward force to the strands, while the lower assembly remains stationary. Both assemblies simultaneously exert a clamping force and linear pull at the required operating speed. Once they exit the feeder, it is recommended to feed them directly into a BXP “P” Series Pellet Mill.

The design of the P Series also prioritizes the ease of maintenance and uptime, incorporating selected components to reduce wear and facilitate service tasks. The operator safety and maintenance staff has been considered in every aspect of the design.

Oscillating comb for strands

The infeed comb is powered by a motor that moves it sideways in a slow back-and-forth motion, distributing wear evenly over the traction surface and extending its useful life.

Electrical system with carbon fiber protection

Electrical cabinets are sealed to prevent contamination and short circuits caused by conductive fibers or dust.

DPLC integration with pellet mill

Digital integration with any Pultrusion Series BPM Pellet Mill with Dual MotorDigital Pellet Length Control (DPLC) is managed from the feeder display, which acts as a speed master, maintaining a constant difference between the feeder and the pellet mill. This reduces starting errors and operator fatigue.

Floor fixing straps

All trailers include bases for anchoring to the ground. They can be added Tank top For greater stability. If mobility is required between extrusion lines, tie rods allow for quick disconnection and ensure stability without the need for permanent fixtures.
