The ITC is a technological centre with more than 50 years of existence, a pioneer in the university-business cooperation system. We are a driving force for innovation in the value chain of the ceramics industry and other sectors: construction, paints, hospitals, aerospace and petrochemical industries. With more than 130 highly qualified people and technical and scientific equipment valued at more than €11 million, spread across two locations, developing more than 100 projects annually.
Our main objective is to research, capitalize on knowledge, transfer technology to industries, offer excellent training and advanced services for companies in the ceramic, construction, petrochemical, metallurgical, paint, hospital environments, schools, glass, concrete, water, among others.

Chemical characterization of materials (solid, liquid and gas) from ppb
Physical-structural analysis
Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis, for the study of defects even in superimposed layers of nanometric thickness.
Specific analysis to evaluate the properties of finished products accredited by ENAC, on: ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and bathtubs, structural ceramics and flooring (slip, wear, etc.)
Sustainability analysis: removal of nitrogen oxides according to and removal of formaldehyde for photocatalytic materials according to Standard; measurement of emission capacity
